These terms cover your use of Walkerset. By using it you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
Walkerset shows approximately where you are to other people nearby. That carries real risk. Meeting anyone you encounter through the app is entirely at your own risk — we do not verify identity, run background checks, or vet anyone. A Google sign-in badge means only that the person holds a Google account; it is not a character reference.
Meet in public. Tell someone where you are going. Use ghost mode whenever you would rather not be seen. Trust your instincts.
A free, informal web app for seeing who is around you and saying hello. It is a personal project, not a commercial platform, and it comes with no guarantees of availability, accuracy, or continuity.
You must be at least 16 years old. By using Walkerset you confirm that you are, and that nothing in law prevents you from agreeing to these terms.
You can use the app as a guest or sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not pretend to be someone you are not.
This is the part that actually matters. Do not use Walkerset to:
We may remove access at any time, without notice, if we believe you have broken these rules — particularly anything that makes another person unsafe.
The app shares your approximate position only while it is open, and only while you have not enabled ghost mode. Positions are rounded before transmission and are never stored. How this works in detail is set out in the Privacy Policy.
You are in control: revoke location permission, enable ghost mode, or close the app, and you stop being visible.
You are responsible for your display name and note. Keep them appropriate. We may remove anything that is offensive, misleading, or unsafe. Do not put personal contact details there — they are visible to strangers.
Walkerset is provided as is and as available. It may be slow, wrong, interrupted, changed, or discontinued at any time without notice. Map data comes from third parties and may be inaccurate or out of date. Positions shown may be stale or wrong. Do not rely on the service for anything that matters, and never in an emergency.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of Walkerset — including anything that happens between you and another user, online or in person. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You can stop at any time and delete your account from the "Me" tab, which erases your stored record. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop running the service.
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and continuing to use the app means you accept the update.
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
